Medical Mutual is seeking an analytical, self-motivated, and assertive individual looking for professional growth to join our nationally respected Claims Department.
As a Claims Representative, you will help us fulfill our mission to provide unrivaled claims defense to our insured physicians and dentists.
We will provide on-the job training and do not require applicants to have prior insurance experience.
By collaborating with insureds, defense attorneys, and our management team, you will learn to direct and resolve complex medical malpractice claims.
You will use critical thinking skills to develop and execute proactive defenses for your assigned claims.
You will also provide outstanding service to our insureds and be an active member of the defense team by regularly meeting with insureds and attorneys.
Ultimately, you will apply your understanding of medical and legal issues from a lay perspective to prepare your claims for trial and to negotiate settlements.
Four-year college degree At least two years of prior professional experience Desire to learn Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Superior customer service skills Ability to be a self-starter and work independently Commitment:
This is a full-time position in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office.
We offer a hybrid remote/in-person work schedule.
Upon successful completion of your training, you will receive a company car.
