Currently, we are seeking a Vice President, Business Development to join our leadership team in Hunt Valley, MD. The VP, Business Development is responsible for coordinating key activities related to developing and implementing the strategic direction for the business with the primary intent to expand the company's base of business within and beyond its current market space, geographic focus and business model.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The VP, Business Development for VTS will work with the leadership team, especially the VP of Sales, to validate and propose growth opportunities and strategies primarily within current markets/clients as well as expansion markets/market segments/market services and execute accordingly. This individual will also help develop tactics and be responsible for programs and communications that reinforce the features, advantages and benefits of the VTS business model and other platforms as clear points of competitive differentiation to profitably expand the base of business.
This
executive
will provide market intelligence and input into the company's vision, strategy and tactics. He/she will provide options and direction enabling the company to achieve its strategic business objectives through retention and strong growth of existing and new client portfolios. Additionally, he/she will work with the leadership team to ensure that VTS meets client expectations within an evolving and highly competitive market.
The VP, Business Development will work in tandem with the VP, Sales to support the development and execution of client growth, retention strategies, action/defense plans in order to build more effective client partnerships and portfolios for VTS. The VP will engage as needed in support of the sales function with clients at mid and senior management levels and in the development/implementation of appropriate marketing or PR support. This individual will generate realistic assessment of risk, requirements and return pertaining to all clients and market opportunities. This executive will be responsible for the development and execution of current and new service support programs and launch plans. The VP will also provide options for resource, territory and market segment alignment for most effective results.
The successful candidate will:
Have demonstrated business development experience and client relations success working at a senior level
Have been involved in contemporary marketing and
public relations
initiatives.
Accept responsibility to achieve specific year one and year two targets for growth within agreed to plans/resources
Effectively identify and pursue business development opportunities that are aligned with company strategy and plans
Help identify training needs and solutions
Ensure communications are coordinated, support sales plan objectives and meet budget requirements
Take on other duties as assigned
Travel as required; projected to be 25% to 30%

Key Milestones:
Success in year one will include:
Working with the sales team and meeting assigned top and bottom line VTS financial goals
Assessing new market, geographic and service opportunities
Establishment of sales team partnerships and plans to achieve client retention and business development goals
Developing specific short and mid-range timelines/plans to help "successfully close" the most promising opportunities
Establishing initial business in new "markets and market-space" according to agreed upon plans
Ongoing performance metrics include:
Revenue and profit performance in current and new market areas that meet or exceed established targets
Effective forecasting of growth

Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university and seven to ten years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field.
Must have a high level of cross group collaboration and relationship skills
Staffing industry experience strongly preferred
Proven track record to drive consistent execution and measurable results.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
