## Description
This is an entry-level position in electronics manufacturing engineering. Job duties will include the design of tools, fixtures and processes. Research equipment, machines and processes. Provide component and system design inputs based on manufacturing requirements. Participate in fit analysis and initial build processing. Research manufacturing deviations, yield analysis, root cause and corrective actions. Interface with the shop floor to resolve design and assembly issues. Champion new ideas and processes to improve quality and efficiency and reduce cost.
Responsibilities:
Work is assigned by others and performed under close supervision.
Follows specific, established procedures.
Contributes to the completion of specific technical tasks and/or milestones associated with specific projects.
Failure to achieve results can normally be overcome without serious effects on schedules and programs, but may cause
minimal delays and may result in the allocation of additional resources.
Problems are usually routine, but may be varied and related to multiple issues. Those that are not within established
guidelines are generally referred to others.
Contacts are primarily within division (i.e. immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or
division).
Generally requires exchanging and providing information.
May require discussion / explanation of somewhat complex information.
This position may be responsible for providing guidance to technicians.
This position does not directly provide leadership or supervision to other employees.
## Qualifications
Possess effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Applicants are expected to have the ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Software programming skills and experience with UG/NX or other 3D modeling programs are desired. Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred degrees are Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
